Images have been published on the Danish Navy's facebook page and show how the soldiers instruct the released sailors on the trip out to the Danish frigate, Iver Huitfeldt, and supply them with safety vests.

The soldiers in the pictures are from the Danish frogman corps who were supported by the Special Maritime Task (SMI-team) consisting of frogmen, specialists in mine clearance (EOD) and military police.

In the background is the frigate Iver Huitfeldt’s helicopter observing the operation from the air and shortly after landing to fly the released hostages out to the frigate.

Iver Huitfeldt is now on its way to an undisclosed destination. It is uncertain whether the six released seafarers remain on board the frigate.
