Neptune Maritime Security to Attend MARLO’s 2012 Annual Seminar

By David Rider, Neptune Maritime Security

Neptune Maritime Security is delighted to announce that Nigel Booker, one of the company’s directors, will be present at MARLO’s 2012 Annual Seminar in Dubai on January 30th. This year mark’s the 25th anniversary of the Maritime Liason Office Bahrain, and the company is honoured to have been asked to appear at such an important event.

Mr Booker will deliver a presentation on “Crisis Management: Maritime Anti/Counter Piracy Security Effects on Shipping” before delegates including officials from the International Maritime Organisation, US Navy, Coast Guard and defence sector. Discussing the upcoming event, Mr Booker said: “Somali piracy and maritime counter-terrorism are still high priority missions for the world’s military, and I’m delighted to appear at MARLO to discuss these ongoing issues.”

Recognising that maritime piracy is an international threat not simply confined to areas surrounding the Gulf of Aden, Neptune Maritime Security believes that preparation and forward planning are corner stones of maritime security. Mr Booker’s speech will address a variety of security concerns, and the company is happy to discuss security issues with any interested parties on a confidential basis.
