Three Bourbon Crew Members Released After Being Kidnapped in Nigeria in April

The French offshore marine company, BOURBON, in a short statement confirms that the 3 Nigerian crew members, abducted on board the Surfer 1440, part of Bourbon Offshore’s Surfer-series crewboats, off the coast of Nigeria on April 8, 2015, have been released. They are in good health and arrived at Port Harcourt in Nigeria on May 8, 2015. No details relating to whether a ransom was paid were made known.

The news comes as a great relief to all BOURBON employees as a whole, who share the joy of the families, says the press released dated 11 May 2015.

The crew members were kidnapped from the Surfer 1440 after it was boarded on the night of 8 April off the Nigerian coast. See kidnap reported by OCEANUSLive.
