Seychelles and Denmark Sign Host Nation Support Agreement

The Republic of Seychelles and the Kingdom of Denmark signed the Memorandum of Understanding for Host Nation Support (HNS) and its underlying Technical Agreement. This signing further consolidates the cooperation, which exists between the two countries.
The HNS supplements the Memorandum of understanding on the Transfer of Pirates and as such enhances mutual military cooperation in the fight against piracy.
The Signatories to the agreement were: Commander John Aeroe Hansen for Defence Command Denmark and Lieutenant Colonel Michael Rosette, Deputy Chief of Staff, of the Seychelles People’s Defence Forces for the Republic of Seychelles. Also present at the signing ceremony was Principle Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr Maurice Loustau-Lalanne.
