The Dutch maritime sector maintains excellent relationships with the major maritime regions in the world. Maritime knowledge is widely developed, and there is knowledge and understanding of international customers and business partners in order to increase the competitiveness of the sector to strengthen and to achieve growth. With this in mind, Netherlands Maritime Network launched in 2012, the project "Maritime Hotspots'.Final Report

Maritime Hotspots

The Dutch maritime sector is heavily dependent on international trade. In the last five centuries, there are excellent international maritime trade relations built. Maintain and strengthen these relationships are vital for the sector.Netherlands Maritime Land market investigation to four, with comparable Netherlands, maritime regions to implement.

The report describes the following 'Maritime Hotspots':

    • Singapore - the central hub for maritime Southeast Asia;
    • Rio de Janeiro / Santos - offshore hub and major port in rapidly developing Brazil;
    • St. Petersburg - sea capital of Russia;
