Officers from Hijacked Ship “Esther C” Released by Nigerian Captors

A spokesperson from Carisbrooke Shipping has reported today [11 March] that the 3 kidnapped officers from their cargo ship “Esther C,” have been released by Nigerian captors and are “safe and in good spirits,” according to the maritime and offshore news website, gCaptain.

The vessel was boarded and ransacked by heavily armed pirates one month ago in international waters south of the Gulf of Guinea on 7th February before they made off with the 3 crew members.

Carisbrooke Shipping expressed their appreciation to the governments, government agencies and other professionals who assisted in bringing their colleagues safely home.
