In March, Shuraako hosted a meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota with members of the Somali diaspora community to discuss how we can work together to connect investors with business opportunities in Somaliland, Puntland, and South Central Somalia; how the Somaliland fishing industry presents immense opportunities for motivated investors and even the little documented evidence on beekeeping in Somalia.
Shuraako is an independent, not-for-profit initiative with a mission to identify and connect investors, businesses, social enterprises, and other organizations that show great promise in Somalia.
At Shuraako, we believe that this is a region filled with opportunity. By providing the right connections and advice to make business information more available to potential investors, we bring ideas and people together in Somaliland, Puntland, and South Central Somalia.
